Do you...

I'm an Occupational Therapist specializing in Pelvic Floor Therapy, serving Southeast Michigan.

Offering virtual classes and an online program, focusing on educating clients to restore their pelvic floor.

Classes may include:

  • Education about pelvic floor anatomy

  • Understanding signs of weak or tight pelvic muscles

  • Breathing exercises

  • Guided meditation

  • Pelvic floor exercises

  • Issues related to sex

My passion is to spread awareness and educate clients about pelvic health. To break the taboo of speaking about sex, and empower clients to be their own advocate while having a deeper understanding of their bodies.

Pelvic health is not gender specific. Tight and/or weak pelvic muscles could affect anyone. I'm here to guide you and lead you through your journey of restoring your pelvic health and living your best life.

FAQ's

QuestionAnswer
How can I improve my erectile dysfunction without medication? There are different causes of erectile dysfunction but there are several causes that can be linked to the pelvic floor. If you experience pain in the penis or testicles, you could also have trigger points that could be helped with therapy. Of course more serious conditions need to be ruled out by a physician but a lot of times learning how to relax and engage your pelvic floor can help.
I can get an erection, I just have trouble maintaining and erection. Can pelvic floor therapy help?Yes. Just like there are muscles responsible for getting an erection, there are also muscles that help maintain an erection. An unbalance in your pelvic floor could be responsible.
How can pelvic floor health relieve constipation? There are many causes to constipation but if you notice that you are struggling to pass normal stool, it could be that your pelvic muscles are too tight. Overall, learning better habits when it comes to your pelvic floor health and learning to relax the muscles of your pelvic floor could make it easier to pass stool.
Is it true there's nothing I can do about stress incontinence after giving birth? This is not true. After giving birth it is very important to work on your pelvic floor muscles so you do not have any stress incontinence. Everything from hormone fluctuation to those muscles getting stretched out means that those muscles are in need of some TLC.

I am a registered Occupational Therapist and have been a therapist since 2008. I live in Michigan with my husband and two daughters.

As an occupational therapist, I help people get back to performing the activities that mean the most to them.

Getting people to reach independence is something I am passionate about so I created this program to help a wider range of people.

Why Elvie?

If you are looking for a way to do some exercises on your own but would like a little more guidance check out Elvie. I love this device because it provides you with feedback on what your muscles are doing. The device also connects to an app and you can turn your exercises into games. This is a great way to ensure that you are targeting the correct muscles. Another thing I love about this product is that it directs you to contact your pelvic floor physiotherapist (ahem..like me) if your muscles are too tight or weak. Have this device and want a program that will compliment the device to make it more functional? Let me know and I will work on it!
